5 Kitchen Island Ideas You Won’t Be Able to Shake Off Your Head

Let’s end our week with a few kitchen decor ideas, because why not?

If you are buying kitchen counter stools, that’s probably because you already have a kitchen island. If you don’t and are yet building your new home and don’t know what to do with your kitchen, here are some kitchen island ideas to spark your interest and make your kitchen feel brighter and lighter!

Our first idea is related to this stunning kitchen island with seating. Having a kitchen island is super useful, but if we’re being honest, its advantages are not that many if you can’t find room for a breakfast counter. This particular all-gray design looks amazing, but you can go with bold colors for your own kitchen decor and stay trendy all 2018 long!

You could only manage to get a small kitchen island? That’s okay! This time, the designers decided to contrast the modern kitchen decor with a rustic kitchen island made of solid wood and a granite countertop. A couple brass counter stools complete the look.

Use your kitchen island design as a way to add some life to your kitchen. If you have a large counter, you can keep a few fresh flowers around and make your kitchen feel lighter and more breathable.

Having a small kitchen island doesn’t mean you can’t make it shine! Our suggestion is to add a unique touch to it, such as the scaly geometric pattern we can see in the photo above. And, of course, make sure to add a couple of kitchen counter stools or chairs for a complete look!

Our last idea is to take advantage of your kitchen island as a storage space! Put together not only all your best china, but all your cookbooks as well. This way, you’ll have them in all the same place, whenever you need them!
